A (A will show up often in these adventures) met me at my house right after work, and we loaded my bike into her car. We make our way to her apartment complex. Our plan is to bike and run a round trip of almost eight miles to a nearby publix and back. I am the one running, she is biking. The first half is filled with sketchy-looking people on the sidewalk, overly bright headlights blinding us, and an overall lack of female runners (which I found disappointing.) But we make it there, feeling pretty alright. We took a twenty minute break, then turned around to head back. Upon getting back, I dry off and put some respectable clothes on, (up until then I had been wearing only minimalist runner's shorts) and we were off. first, we hit up a local tobacco shop because I wanted to buy a Zippo lighter. I have always wanted one, but it's not like I smoke a lot or something. I just thought they were cool, as well as considerably handy to have. So I got a simple, brushed stainless steel one. I love it. My coworkers laughed when I told them this. They simply warned me to not burn the store down. Anyhow. After that, We make our way to Waffle House, which is essentially across the sreet. I have a chocolate chip waffle and chocolate milk. I'm a huge fan of good, cheap food late at night. Upon stuffing ourselves silly, we then head to Chick fil A. Why, you might ask. And I will reply with, "because we knew we would be hungry later." And so we were. The taste of chicken improves exponentially with the degree of lateness.
Mind you, much of the time in the car was spent fist pumping at passers-by and oncoming traffic.
